  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 8 medium Potatoes
  • 8 medium Carrots
  • 8 medium Onions
  • Salt, pepper, seasonings
  • Aluminum foil


  1. Cut 8 pieces of aluminum foil, 12x30 inches; fold in half
  2. Peel potatoes and and carrots and place into pot of cold water to hold.
  3. Divide beef in 8 equal pieces.
  4. Lay foil flat and for each:
  5. Flatten portion of beef
  6. Thinly slice one potato, one carrot and one onion and place on top of beef.
  7. Sprinkle with seasoning.
  8. Seal foil around ingredients.
  9. Put foil on hot coals.
  10. Turn every 5 minutes
  11. Carefully open and check after 20 minutes. Vegetables should be soft and meat brown. Reseal if not done.
  12. Enjoy right in the foil.
